Terms of Service
Last updated: June 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of Thread ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Thread is an application that connects to your Google account, with your permission, to display and organize your Gmail, manage your Google Calendar, and provide AI-assisted features such as triage, summaries, and drafting. The Service is provided by Thread ("we", "us").
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Your content and your Google data
- Your email, calendar events, and conversations remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service — for example, fetching a message from the Gmail API so we can display it to you.
- Google integrations are optional and connected per-feature. You can disconnect them, or delete your account and data, at any time from Settings. Our Privacy Policy describes how data is handled and deleted.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send spam, malware, or unlawful content;
- violate Google's or any third party's terms;
- probe, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
- resell or white-label the Service without our permission.
5. AI features
AI-generated summaries, classifications, and drafts can be wrong. Review AI output before relying on it or sending it. You are responsible for email you send and events you create, including those composed with AI assistance.
6. Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for breach of these terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
